Worker hurt during Robinson road repairs

Posted:
ROBINSON -

A temporary Robinson worker was hurt while working on the city's road project Tuesday morning.

Police say the man suffered minor injuries after the soil compacting machine he was using rolled on its side on a steep incline.  The man was certified to operate this particular type of machine.

Robinson's city manager, Bob Cervenka, visited the worker at the hospital and says he is doing well.

The city is using its own money and equipment to re-do all the streets.  Other than this minor incident, Cervenka says the project is running smoothly.
