WACO -

A citizen found an 18-month male toddler on the street corner with no shoes or a diaper on.

Police responded to a call around noon on Wednesday to the 900 block of N. 66th street. The citizen waited with the toddler until police arrived. Patrol officers, Detectives and Crime Scene Techs went door to door trying to find the toddlers parents.

Finally, Crime Scene Technicians found the father, Donald Klassy, 23, at 1001 N. 66th.. Police say Klassy had no idea where the toddler was and determined he was missing for an hour.

Authorities searched the house and found around 15 grams of Methamphetamine, syringes and Xanex pills in the toddlers room. The mother, Monica Wood, 30, came home later and was found to have outstanding warrants with Hewitt Police Department, according to authorities.

Child Protective Services came to the scene to remove the child from the home and plans are being made to put the toddler into a foster home.

Klassy has been charged with Endangering a Child and Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Wood has been charged with warrants from Hewitt Police Department.
