Police arrest suspect accused of robbing Killeen bank

Police have arrested the man suspected of robbing a bank in Killeen just before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

30-year-old Anthony Xavier Taylor was charged with aggravated robbery. Justice of Peace Bill Cooke set his bond at $100,000 and he is currently in Killeen City Jail.

Police say Broadway Bank, located in the 1000 block W. Central Texas Expressway in Killeen, was robbed by Taylor. When police got to the bank, the bank staff told them that a male suspect entered the bank, displayed a weapon and demanded money from the teller.

Taylor fled the scene in an unknown direction and he drove away in a small red pickup truck.

Police searched the area for the suspect's vehicle, but were unable to find the truck.

Taylor was arrested Friday and his photo is being withheld pending further investigation.
