Crews cleaning up chlorine spill after car wrecks into building during chase

Crews in Killeen are cleaning up chlorine that spilled on the ground after four juveniles wrecked into a building during a police chase through a Killeen park.

A call came in Wednesday morning about an armed suspect at the Long Branch Park in the 1100 block of Branch Dr. in Killeen.

When officers arrived, four juveniles fled the scene in their vehicle. A short pursuit ensued with the juveniles driving through Long Branch Park, going through a cemetery and driving back to the park.

The vehicle wrecked into a building that housed pool supplies. Chlorine spilled out after the vehicle wrecked into the building.

The juveniles ended up having a BB gun instead of an actual firearm. Two juvenile females and two juvenile males were released to their parents. They are being checked out because of the exposure to the chlorine.

Crews are on the scene and cleanup is underway. Crews are using absorbant to clean up the spilled chlorine.
