Judge lifts restraining order stopping Baylor alumni center demolition

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A federal judge has lifted the restraining order stopping Baylor from demolishing the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center.

The judge lifted the restraining order on Friday after a court ordered mediation session ended in an impasse.

Baylor is now allowed to move forward with plans to tear down the center to as part of the plan to build the new Baylor Football Stadium.

The restraining order was put in place more than 3 weeks ago, after one Baylor alumni filed a suit to postpone the demolition until the Alumni Association could vote on it.
