Waco Police arrested a man who is accused of causing $2,755.67 worth of damage to his ex-wife's car after he hit it multiple times with a trash can.

Troy Edward Harbert was charged with criminal mischief and assault family violence for the incident.

Police say Harbert was visiting his children over at his ex-wife's house on May 27. Harbert and his ex-wife got into an argument at 9 p.m. about a phone call.

Harbert began cussing at her and assaulted her inside the house. He then went outside and started hitting her Ford Explorer with a trash can.

This caused damage to the paint and dents to the right fender. Harbert also dumped the trash on the vehicle and left the scene.

An insurance company has looked at the vehicle and estimated there was $2,755.67 worth of damage done it.
