Power is back in Lorena area after car hits utility pole

LORENA, TX (KXXV) -

Power is back up in the Lorena Area after a car hit a utility pole early Friday morning.

About 500 people were without power after a car hit a utility pole around 3:40 a.m. Friday morning at Spring Valley and Old Lorena Rd.

An area in and around Lorena was without power because of accident. Oncor crews were on the scene around 4 a.m.

Construction crews replaced the pole and wiring where the car struck the utility pole. Power was restored around 11 a.m. on Friday.

Waco put out a boil water notice because of this incident. All residents in the following street addresses need to boil their water before drinking it:

618 – 831 Bluebonnet Ln.

12606 – 12754 Chapel Rd.

230 – 460 Lorena Meadows Dr.

144 Marcy Ln.

838 – 1176 Mourning Dove Ln.

2893 – 3687 Old Lorena Rd.

204 Towne West Dr.
