Temple credit union robbery suspect arrested

Temple police arrested a 47-year-old Temple man that is suspected of the July 18th Texas Partners Credit Union robbery.

Karl Dean Moore was arrested without incident on July 19 at the Days Inn in the 1100 block of North General Bruce Dr. in Temple.

Detectives from the Temple Police Department's General Investigations Unit received an anonymous tip and responded to the Days Inn at 10:50 a.m. Friday morning.

Officers found Moor leaving a room at the motel. Moore was already wanted on an unrelated theft warrant and police took him into custody without incident.

Detectives found evidence that linked Moore to the robbery of Texas Partners Credit Union.

The robbery took place around 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Texas Partners Federal Credit Union in the 6900 block of West Adams Ave.

Police arrived on the scene at 4:02 p.m. just after the robbery had occurred. They learned that a man had entered the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money.

The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money. He headed southbound on Old Waco Road in a gold, older-model 4 door vehicle. There were no injuries reported in the robbery. Officers searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect.

Detectives with the General Investigations Unit assisted the FBI in this investigation.
