A 34-year-old Moody woman is accused of biting a police chief after Moody police came to arrest her for injuring her child.

Nicole Holloway is in the McLennan County Jail and was charged with injury to a child, aggravated assault of a public servant and resisting arrest.

Moody Police Chief Chris Veselka says he contacted CPS when his department received the initial information about the child and began his investigation.

Chief Veselka says the investigation began on July 10 and a warrant was served on Wednesday around noon.

Holloway is accused of resisting arrest and biting the police chief when police went to go arrest her for injury to a child.

CPS took custody of the Holloway's 1-year-old child after she went to jail. The child was placed in foster care after an investigation of an injury to the child.
