U.S. Marshals arrest Waco man wanted for 2012 stabbing

A Waco man was arrested by the U.S. Marshal's Task Force on Monday for allegedly stabbing a man at a traffic light on August 12, 2012.

35-year-old Amado Manuel Delapaz was charged with aggravated assault for the stabbing. He also faces charges of two counts of not paying his child support and driving while his license was suspended.

According to police, the victim was stopped at a traffic light at 26th and Bosque when a man in a truck pulled alongside and started cursing at the passenger in the victim's car.

Delapaz was a passenger in the truck and he allegedly got out of the truck and started assaulting the passenger in the other car through the passenger window. The driver of the car got out to defend his father, who was being assaulted, and got into a fight with Delapaz.

The victim got into a fight with Delapaz. The victim had a stab wound on the left side of his neck, a cut on his head, a cut on his chest, a puncture wound on the left side of his chest and back, and a stab wound to his left shoulder.

The victim was driven to Providence Hospital, where police were called.

Delapaz's picture was picked from a photo lineup by the victim.
