Waco PD looking for woman who robbed local bank

Waco police are searching for a woman who robbed a Waco bank of an unknown amount of money on Wednesday. The robbery took place at Wells Fargo Bank in the 1100 block of Wooded Acres Dr.

Police say a black woman walked up to the teller and gave her a note demanding cash and threatened that she had a weapon.

Police are describing her as being in her thirties, 5-8, 170 pounds, shoulder length loosely curled black hair and wearing blue dress top and black pants at the time of the robbery.

The robber did not show any weapon during the robbery, but police consider her armed and dangerous because of the threat of a weapon.

Police did not see her leave in a car, but they believe she got one from around the area when she fled the scene around noon.

Police are asking that anyone who knows the woman in the picture or who might have seen her get into a car outside the bank and could tell police anything about the car to please call the Waco police Dept at (254) 750-7500.
