KILLEEN -

Killeen police are looking for two teenagers who escaped from a juvenile detention center this afternoon.

Police have already arrested two escaped juveniles but are still looking for two more. According to police four juveniles between the ages of 15 and 17 escaped from the Bell County Juvenile Detention Center Saturday just before 9:00 a.m.

Employees told officers the juveniles were in the indoor recreation area when it appeared that there was going to be a fight.  Four of the juveniles ran towards an exterior door that lead to an unsecured area and kicked it open.  The suspects ran south into the wooded area and climbed over a chain link fence with barbed wire.

Just after 2:00 p.m., a witness called 911 advising they saw three suspicious males walking in the are. The witness told police the suspects had stopped under a tree and began changing clothes. Officers responded to the area and tried to stop the suspects when they took off. Officers chased them and took two teenagers into custody and took them back to the Bell County Detention Center.

Police say the other two suspects remain at large.

Anyone who has any information or knows the whereabouts of these escapees is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 526-TIPS (8477), www.bellcountycrimestoppers.com or text BELLCO along with your tip to 274637.  Text STOP to stop your text or text HELP for help with your text, message and data rates may apply.  All information is confidential and you can remain anonymous and if your tip results in the arrest of these suspects you could be eligible for a reward up to $1,000 in cash.
