Killeen woman accused of assaulting her kids to get a bottle of alcohol

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) - UPDATE: Kathryn Patricia Williams received four years deferred adjudication probation on one count and the other count was dismissed.

A 33-year-old Killeen woman is in jail after allegedly assaulting her children after they tried to keep her away from a bottle of alcohol. The incident took place in the 1100 block of Connor Ct. in Killeen around 12:30 p.m. on June 4.

According to Killeen Police Department spokesperson Carroll Smith, Kathryn Patricia Williams assaulted her 14-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter during an incident at their home.

Police say Williams' 14-year-old son tried to keep her away from some alcohol in the house because Williams was under court order to stay away from alcohol. Williams kicked and punched her son for doing this.

The 11-year-old daughter tried to intervene and was also hurt. The children did sustain injuries during the incident, but they were not serious.
