Temple to test warning sirens

Temple will be performing annual service and maintenance on their outdoor warning sirens. The work will begin Wednesday, June 5 and should be done by Friday, June 7.

Temple residents should be aware that each siren will be tested for one minute as part of the maintenance.

During a real emergency, the sirens will sound for 3 minutes. If the siren is heard during severe weather, residents should seek shelter immediately.

If the siren goes off at any other time, residents should turn on a local television channel or radio station to find out information on the emergency and what actions to take.

Sirens are also tested each Saturday at 11 a.m. for one minute.
