Police searching for suspected Waco hotel robber

Waco police are searching for a man who is suspected of robbing a hotel at 8 p.m. Monday night. The robbery took place at the Roadway Inn in the 3900 block of S. Jack Kultgen Expressway (I-35).

The suspect is described as a 6-foot tall, bald, white male in his early 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a black shirt and jean shorts at the time of the robbery.

According to police, the suspect displayed a handgun after entering the office and demanded money from the hotel clerk. He took an unknown amount of cash before fleeing on foot heading south on the I-35 access road.

The clerk was not injured during the robbery and police are still investigating.
