Officer crashes into truck, Central Texas man found without license

A two-car accident involving a Bruceville Eddy police officer has led a Central Texas man to the McLennan County Jail. The accident occurred at 10:30 a.m. Friday morning on FM 107 and Raby Rd.

The driver of a 2006 Ford truck towing a flatbed trailer had slowed down to take a left turn onto Raby Road. Meanwhile, a Bruceville Eddy Officer driving from behind struck the rear of the trailer. The officer said that he could not tell that the truck was slowing down.

There was severe damage done to the officer's Tahoe, and the officer was transported to Scott & White Hospital in Temple where he was treated and later released.

The driver of the truck fled the scene down Raby Rd, and was later found by another Bruceville Eddy officer. The driver has been identified as 28-year-old Luis Miguel Lopez-Servin.

Lopez-Servin was arrested and transported to the McLennan County Jail on a charge of failure to stop involved in accident. DPS troopers say Lopez-Servin didn't have a valid drivers license.
