West ISD is working to get students back to school in West by fall

WEST, TX (KXXV) -

West schools are working to make sure students are back in school in West by next fall semester.

Superintendent Marty Crawford says West ISD is working with the insurance company to try and get temporary buildings put in West.

Drawings are being made for permanent schools with a possible ground breaking in January 2014 and a planned completion date for fall 2015. Plans for the entire project could cost $93 million.

A request for FEMA support to help pay for the schools is on President Obama's desk waiting for his signature.
