Deputies raided two different stores Thursday afternoon that are suspected of illegal gambling. The two raids took place at the same time at 19th and Summer and at 25th and Maple in Waco.
The raids were done to crack down on illegal gambling. Several eight liner machines were seized from both locations when they raided both locations
One person has been arrested. Sheriff Parnell McNamara says this is all part of the office's attempt to crack down on crooks.
"We're just trying to get rid of all kinds of illegal activity, gambling, drug activity. If it's an illegal activity, we're going to address it."
The sheriff's office has been investigating both stores with help from the Drug Enforcement Agency, Department of Public Safety and the Waco Police Department.
