Three Waco ISD schools need minor repairs

WACO -

Three almost new Waco ISD campuses will need to have some repairs over the summer.

On Thursday night, the districts project manager took school board members on a tour of those campuses to see the issues first hand.

University High and Hines Elementary will only need minor repairs.

University High will have work done on its acoustic system which will give better concert sound in the schools arena. Hines Elementary is having airflow issues in certain parts of the building.

Bells Hill Elementary has a bigger problem, as there are a few cracks in the side walks and some rain water drain issues around the school that will need to be fixed. All these issues will be taken care of during summer.

"It could operate just like it is, but we got summertime coming up so the kids will move out and we can do whatever corrective work that needs to be done," said Cliff Brown, Waco ISD's Project Manager.

All of these repairs will be covered under a warranty and will not cost taxpayers anything.
