WEST, Texas (AP) - Some repair experts have been helping residents of a Central Texas town devastated by a deadly fertilizer plant explosion rebuild.
Dozens of structures were damaged or destroyed in the April 17 blast in West, about 70 miles south of Fort Worth. The fiery explosion claimed 14 lives and left about 200 other people hurt.
The Heart of Texas Builders Association scheduled a meeting Thursday night to help residents understand and find resources for rebuilding.
The city of West also used its website to announce Saturday will be another community cleanup day. City officials are asking for donations of garden and leaf rakes. The equipment can be dropped off at the West Community Center.
Some truck drivers are also need in the weekend cleanup effort.
