UMHB women's golf remains #2

 Belton, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor women's golf team held steady at #2 in the country in this week's Golf World/WGCA Division III Coaches' Top 25 Poll. The UMHB women grabbed four first place votes and totaled 336 points in this week's poll to match their highest national ranking of the spring. Methodist University retains the top spot this week with 11 first-place votes and 371 total points. DePauw University is ranked third with 335 total points and Washington-St. Louis received ballots worth 327 total points to rank fourth. The Cru is one of three American Southwest Conference teams mentioned in the latest poll. U.T.-Tyler is ranked 10th with 231 total points and Schreiner University is ranked 17th with 139 total points.
UMHB claimed its tenth conference title and clinched the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III National Championships with a 26-stroke victory in the ASC Championship Tournament last month. The 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Golf National Championship will be played May 14-17 at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida. This will mark the ninth NCAA Tournament appearance for the UMHB women's golf team and the Cru enters that tournament as the #1 overall seed.
