BAYLOR EARNS FOUR FIRST TEAM ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT SELECTIONS

Baylor's Doug Ashby, Kolt Browder, Logan Brown and Steve DalPorto were named to the Capital One Academic All-District VII First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.

Tying a program record with four selections, Baylor has now had four Academic All-District selections three times (2011, 1999). The program has also had at least two players earn the distinction in each of the last eight seasons with 22 total honors in that span.  Among the District VII 12-person team, Baylor has the most selections of any school. With all four Bears making the first team, they all move onto the Capital One Academic All-America ballot.

Browder garnered the award for the third time in his career to become Baylor baseball's first three-time honoree.  DalPorto became a two-time recipient.  Both Ashby and Brown earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
