Harker Heights man arrested for strangling female student

KILLEEN, TX (KXXV) -

A 33-year-old Harker Heights man is in Bell County Jail after he strangled a student at a Killeen ISD High School.

Kenrick Gittens went to the school for a meeting with an administrator. When the meeting ended the administrator saw him strike a girl in the face. He then grabbed the girl around her neck, lifted her into the air, and continuously slammed her on a table.

Killeen ISD police officer detained Gittens. He has been charged with assault house member impeding breath/circulation, and his bond has been set at $100,000.
