COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) - Texas A&M University System regents have selected two-term board member Phil Adams of Bryan-College Station as chairman.
Adams, an insurance businessman, was first appointed to the board by Gov. Rick Perry in 2001. He was reappointed in 2009.
The board on Wednesday also selected Cliff Thomas of Victoria as vice chairman. Thomas was appointed to the board in 2011.
The board oversees 11 universities with more than 120,000 students in the Texas A&M system.
