Local hospitals continue to treat West explosion victims


Local hospitals continue to treat those injured from the West fertilizer explosion. About eight people are still receiving treatment for various injuries.

Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center is treating seven West victims, two are in intensive care while five are in general care. Providence Health Care says all, but one victim, have been discharged.

A total of 87 people were treated at Providence, and 21 patients were admitted.

The victim's injuries ranged from minor burns, broken bones, lacerations, abrasions and head and respiratory distress.
