Waco-McLennan County Emergency Management Office's Incident Command Post in West has asked the public for financial donations.
In a statement on Monday, the city of Waco says, "the outpouring of donated goods from across the state and nation has been overwhelming and greatly appreciated, however at this time no additional items are needed."
They ask that people who are still interested in helping the people of West should make financial donations instead of sending items.
