A&M's Bone Invited to Attend WNBA Draft

Texas A&M junior center Kelsey Bone and Aggie head coach Gary Blair will be present at the 2013 WNBA Draft

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M junior center Kelsey Bone has been announced as one of 12 top prospects that will attend the WNBA Draft held at ESPN Headquarters in Bristol, Conn., on Monday, April 15.

A projected high first-round selection, Bone is seeking to become the 10th Aggie drafted by the WNBA under the tutelage of A&M head coach Gary Blair, who will also be present at the event. Draft experts have projected Bone to be selected in the top eight picks of the 2013 draft, which would make her the first-ever Aggie selected in WNBA Draft's opening round. Seven Aggies have been drafted in the second round with an additional two draft picks taken during the third round.

Joining Bone in Bristol will be: Alex Bentley of Penn State, Layshia Clarendon of Cal, Elena Delle Donne of Delaware, Skylar Diggins of Notre Dame, Kelly Faris of Connecticut, Brittney Griner of Baylor, Tianna Hawkins of Maryland, Tayler Hill of Ohio State, Lindsey Moore of Nebraska, Sugar Rodgers of Georgetown and Toni Young of Oklahoma State. Bone is the only prospect from the SEC set to attend the WNBA Draft in person.
