Woman arrested for drug possession now charged with endangering a child

A local woman, who was arrested in mid-March for possessing drugs, has now been charged with endangering a child. Carolyn Combee was arrested on March 13 for an incident at Providence Hospital.

According to the arrest affidavit, police say they found Combee with a child younger than 15 at the hospital that day. She was yelling about how she had been at the hospital and no one was helping her with her hurt back. Police say she was irate and refused to cooperate with the investigation.

An officer on the scene noticed Combee's pupils were extremely dilated in the well lit hospital, and her eyes were also glossy. Police say the suspect was fidgety, extremely belligerent and yelling at times.

The officer at the scene tried to reason with Combee, but could not. She was arrested for public intoxication, and officers later found K2 Spice in Combee's possession during the arrest.

The next day CPS notified police that Combee had been sent to jail and tested positive for methamphetamine. Combee was charged with endangering a child on Wednesday.
