Boy kidnapped by parents found in New Mexico

A Robertson County boy who had been missing for months has now been found. Police found 7-year-old Richard Moore in New Mexico.

Moore disappeared on August 8, 2012 from his grandmother's house. The boy's biological parents were picking him up for their visitation, but that's when they fled with the child to New Mexico.

Officers also say the boy's grandfather Mike McCartney helped in the kidnapping.

Police were able to find Moore's parents and the child when McCartney called his wife to tell her he wanted a divorce. She then gave the phone number to police, and they found the missing child in a trailer in Santa Clara, New Mexico.

The boy is safe and is going back home to his grandmother's.
