Gatesville man pleads guilty to child pornography

A Gatesville man, who was found child pornography on his cell phone, pled guilty to three counts of possession of child pornography.

42-year-old Timothy Dale Meske will serve the maximum sentence of ten years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Institutional Divison. Each count will be served consecutively.

On January 6, Gatesville police were called to a residence in the 1100 block of Westview Drive Saturday morning. When they arrived they had obtained a search warrant for Meske's phone and took it.

After examining the phone, police obtained an arrest warrant for Timothy Dale Meske on a charge of possession of child pornography and improper photography or recording.

Police Chief Nathan Gohlke said the phone contained images of underage children that were downloaded from the Internet. None of the pornographic materials seemed to have been recorded on the phone itself.
