A local man is in McLennan County Jail after threatening his girlfriend with a knife in February. Police arrested Adrian Gutierrez on Wednesday after they received a disturbance call at 5 a.m. in the 3700 block of North 22nd.
Police had been informed of Gutierrez for an incident on February 11 in the 2000 block of Maple Ave. On that day an argument between Gutierrez and his 35-year-old girlfriend escalated.
She told police that he was asking for her jewelry, and they argued over why he wanted it. Gutierrez is accused of pulling a knife and jabbing it toward her face and neck, then threatening her.
The victim managed to break away and call police. Gutierrez then ran off, and was finally arrested Wednesday after officers obtained an arrest warrant.
