TEMPLE -
A car in a vehicle transporter caught fire Wednesday afternoon damaging three additional vehicles. Temple Fire & Rescue responded to a vehicle fire in the 4700 Block of South General Bruce Drive.
Fire was visible from under the hood of a vehicle on top of the transporter. Burning debris damaged two vehicles below and one vehicle next to the vehicle on fire.
The transporter carried a total of eight vehicles, three SUV's and five sedans. Firefighters brought the fire under control within nine minutes of arriving on scene.
Fire investigators determined the fire was unintentional, and that it started from an electrical problem under the hood.
Temple Police provided traffic control as the northbound side of South General Bruce Drive was closed while firefighters extinguished the fire.
