Local woman arrested for sexually assaulting a child

WACO, TX (KXXV) -

A 25-year-old woman has been arrested in Tarrant County on charges she sexually assaulted a young girl in Waco last summer. Yuishea Davis will be returned to Waco to face charges of aggravated sexual assault.

Police got  the initial report at 11:30 a.m. on July 19th at a facility that serves the indigent. A doctor examining a child at the clinic called police after noting possible abuse of the girl under the age of ten.

The Children's Advocacy Center assisted with the conducting of a forensic interview and determined that the child had been assaulted "with an object".

As the investigation continued, police obtained a warrant for Davis. Waco police was contacted Tuesday by Tarrant County authorities who had made contact with Davis and determined that there was a  Waco warrant for her arrest.
