Helen Motter’s new book, Remember Me Always ($21.49, paperback, 978-1-62509-341-7; $9.99, e-book, 978-1-62509-342-4) is a historical novel that revolves around Nellie—a promising, young musician with dreams of becoming a concert pianist. The path to success is not an easy one; along the way she is met with personal challenges and encounters individuals that can hinder her future. The author points out, “By imaginatively immersing ourselves in an earlier period and culture, we can gain a greater understanding of our own time with its strengths and limitations, as well as our personal responsibility to seek after truth, no matter when or where we live.”

“We are all told to find meaning in life by ‘going after our dreams,’ but finding our life’s purpose through personal ambition alone will leave us frustrated and empty,” states the author. “It is only in surrendering to God and accepting His forgiveness that we can truly find our life’s purpose.”

Helen Motter is a professional musician with a Licentiate in violin from the Royal Academy of Music in London, England, and a Masters in church music from Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. She is a violinist with Orchestra Kentucky and has also spent nearly thirty years working as an editor in the Christian publishing industry. This is her first novel, a story inspired by her own experiences studying in England. The author continues, “My interest in history comes from personal study and research. I have combined all of these areas of expertise in creating this novel.”
