After the New York Islanders' Sticks and Steaks event on March 12, Empire Digital Products releases a statement announcing its success and emphasizes the importance of youth programs.

Bohemia, NY (PRWEB) March 18, 2013

On March 18, Scott Brodsky, owner of copier company Empire Digital Products, announces the success of the NY Islanders “Sticks and Steaks” event that took place on March 12 at 6:30 p.m.

Sticks and Steaks, an annual dinner with players from the Islanders, benefits the Islander’s Children’s Foundation (ICF). The not-for-profit foundation was created in 2003 and has since raised more than $5 million to help children on Long Island. Partnering with The Hope Process, the Foundation works with other children’s charities that focus on health, education and youth ice hockey development and raises funds through various events like the “Sticks and Steaks” dinner.

In addition to helping other charities, Brodsky says the IFC also hosts some of its own youth programs on Long Island, including:

  •     The Islanders@School Program
  •     Holiday Hospital Visits
  •     Toy Shopping Event
  •     Bossy’s Bunch Charity Ticket Program
  •     Amateur Youth Hockey Development Program
  •     Islanders Fight Cancer Program

Brodsky says tickets for the five-star multi-course dinner, which was catered by the Inn at New Hyde Park. All proceeds from the event went directly to the Islander’s Children’s Foundation.

“We had a completely sold-out event,” he says. “My business, Empire Digital Products, was one of the main contributors. I was happy to see so many people, even the Islanders players, willing to help children in youth programs. We raised a lot of money and all of it will be going back into the foundation.”

Brodsky says youth programs are necessary on Long Island. “It’s especially important, in this day and age, to have organizations solely dedicated to the care and education of children,” he says. “Kids are easily influenced and organizations like the ICF help to keep them out of trouble and reinforce positive activities.”

Empire Digital Products is currently one of the most well respected copier dealerships in New York. There dual focus is on reducing overhead and enhancing document workflow. With the best service department in the industry and a very capable staff it is no wonder Empire has been met with such success.
