Firefighters have contained a fire at a local building that began late Friday morning in Waco. The fire began around 10 a.m. at a building on Franklin and 26th Street.
Witnesses on the scene say heavy smoke surrounded the building and could be seen from far away. One witness tells News Channel 25 that she saw two people with buckets trying to put out the fire before fire crews got there.
No one was injured, but one person was sent to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. According to officials, the fire didn't spread, and was contained to one building.
