Temple firefighters responded to the scene shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Firefighters entered the home, and attempted to extinguish the fire using an interior attack. The fire broke through the roof, and firefighters were ordered out of the house.

Officials say the family of 13 that lived in the home. two adults and 11 children, were able to get out safely with no injuries.

The attic and second floor had extensive fire damage, but the rest of the house had smoke and water damage. Officials do not know financially, how much damage was done.

Fire investigators determined the fire was unintentional, and believe it started in the attic. Yet, investigators do not know what caused the fire.
