WACO -
A Waco man is in McLennan County Jail after leading police on a low-speed car chase Monday night.
47-year-old Roderick Allan Dugas went to a convenience store, and started arguing with the clerk about the price of a candy bar. The clerk then called police.
When officers arrived at the convenience store, they found out that Dugas' license was suspended. They told the suspect to call for a ride, but Dugas cursed at them and took off in his vehicle.
After leading police on a low-speed chase, he was finally stopped at 19th Street and Lakeshore Drive and struggled with officers. Officers on the scene used a taser to bring him under control.
He has been charged with evading arrest with motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
