Car runs over police officer's foot Monday morning

A Waco police officer's foot is driven over by a passing car Monday morning. The officer was working on an accident at New Road and Bagby when the incident happened.

Waco police say a dark colored Chrysler 300 drove over the foot of the officer. The officer was taken to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center where he was treated and released.

The suspected vehicle involved didn't stop after the incident, and police say it is possible the driver wasn't aware of what had happened.
