Killeen woman accused of stealing from nonprofit organization

A female treasurer for a non-profit organization has been arrested after she made unauthorized purchases of almost $20,000 in less than a year.

52-year-old Cynthia Crawford was the treasurer for the SUGA for two years. She wrote checks, used the ATM and debit card.

She was caught when she was voted out as treasurer and the new treasurer came in and found about an $18,000 discrepancy in the books.
