WACO -
A former vice president of a Whitney bank pled guilty in federal court to embezzling $6 million.
Mary Helen "Murty" Lane admitted she took money from the First National Bank of Whitney over a ten year period. She apparently used the stolen money to fund her gambling.
Investigators found out that Lane took gambling trips to several casinos including one in Las Vegas.
Lane's sentencing hearing is set for May 1st. She could get 30 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
