Police: Woman not shot in face during bar fight

Waco Police say a 19-year-old woman, who was believed to be shot in the face Friday night, was actually severely injured in the face after a bar fight.  A CAT scan determined that the woman had not been shot, but shots were fired at the location during the incident.

Police responded to a aggravated assault call at Big Daddy's Bar Friday in east Waco. There they initially found a 19-year-old woman who said she and her boyfriend were involved in a fight with other woman at the club. 

Police now know that the woman did suffer significant injuries. and the fight took place in the bar parking lot.

One man, William Glenn Paten, is accused of firing shots into the ground in the vicinity of the women as the fight was going on. 

It has also since been determined that he had a previous felony conviction, and has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault and felon in possession of a firearm.
