KILLEEN -
A 3-year-old child is in stable condition after he nearly drowned Friday morning.
The incident happened at a home in the 3200 block of Doffy Drive in Killeen at 8:45 a.m. A mother was giving her son a bath and left the room momentarily. When she came back, she found the toddler under water.
The mother asked neighbors for help and they preformed CPR until paramedics arrived. When paramedics arrived they continued to administer CPR and immediately transported the boy to Scott & White Children's Hospital in Temple.
The boy is in stable condition and is conscious and alert. Police are continuing to investigate the situation.
