LIMESTONE COUNTY -
One person is killed after a vehicle drove off the side of the road six miles west of Mexia early Thursday morning. The one-vehicle accident happened around 8 a.m. on U.S. Highway 84 in Limestone County.
A 1991 freightliner truck driven by 72-year-old Bobby Threep was traveling westbound on the highway. His vehicle went off the side of the road, through a fence and struck a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his body was taken to the Porter Funeral Home in Mexia. No one else was injured from the incident.
