Two men have been arrested for burglary when they were found pushing their broken down vehicle away from the scene. Denzel Monroe Clay and Brandon Keith Hardaway were both charged with burglary of a habitation for an incident that occurred Wednesday morning.
Police were called to a home in the 3000 block of Mildred Avenue when a neighbor saw two men entering a home nearby. The neighbor called police with a complete description of the suspects and the car.
By the time officers arrived, the suspects had fled the scene, but their vehicle had broke down in the 2700 block of Sarah. Officers found the two suspects pushing the broken down getaway vehicle by hand.
Officers stopped the suspects and recovered the property that was believed to be stolen during the burglary. Clay was charged with possession of marijuana, and Hardaway was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
