HEWITT -
Two men were arrested near Midway Middle School Wednesday afternoon when police made a felony stop. Hewitt police arrested 20-year-old Thomas Parnell and 19-year-old Jacob Gutierrez outside Midway Middle School just before 4 p.m.
A district spokesperson says they had track students go to the opposite side of the stadium to stay clear of the arrest.
Police say they made the stop because Parnell had a warrant for his arrest out of Beverly Hills for burglary of a building. Police say they also found what could be meth in the car which could belong to Gutierrez.
Gutierrez is charged with possession of narcotics, and both men are in the McLennan County Jail.
