Second Round at Sugar Bowl Women's Golf Intercollegiate Cancelled

Baylor in seventh place entering Tuesday's final round

NEW ORLEANS – Damaging overnight weather in the New Orleans area has forced the cancellation of Monday's second round of the 2013 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship. Play will resume with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT Tuesday.

Severe thunderstorms produced high winds and close to three inches of rain, and brought dime-sized hail to the course on Sunday night and early Monday morning. Tournament officials said the clean-up for Tuesday's second round has begun.

Baylor's Lauren Taylor and Hayley Davis will tee off from the seventh hole on Tuesday, while Annette Lyche and Emma Carberry will begin on the eighth tee and Laura Lonardi will start her round on No. 9.

Taylor and Davis are tied for 20th individually after shooting even-par 72 in Sunday's opening round. Carberry and Lyche are tied for 31st at 1-over-par 73, and Lonardi is tied for 41st at 2-over-par. Baylor is in seventh place at 2-over-par 290, eight strokes back of tournament leader Tulane. Live scoring of Tuesday's final round is available through www.GolfStat.com.
