HARKER HEIGHTS -
Three men were saved by Harker Heights firefighters after their pickup truck drove off a bridge and into a creek early Friday morning.
A fire dept spokesman says the incident happened about 3 a.m. on FM 3219 when the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle. The truck then went over the guardrail of the bridge and fell over 30 feet into Nolan Creek.
Firefighters repelled down to the men, and used ropes, harnesses and a Stokes rescue basket to lift them out of the creek.
One of the men was airlifted to Scott & White Hospital in Temple, and the other two transported to the hospital by ambulance. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening
