Robert Griffin III Blvd. to become a city street

Posted:
COPPERAS COVE -

A private road in Copperas Cove honoring the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner might soon become a city street. The Cove Economic Development Corp Board of Directors discussed Thursday a request for a roadway dedication agreement with the C-Cove 90 Partners.

The wording for the agreement is being discussed, but it would allow for the construction of Robert Griffin III Blvd to span from Martin Luther King Blvd to Old Copperas Cove Rd.

The road was built by C-Cove 90 Partners as part of its development of the Five Hills Mall project.

Signs have been made for the street, but a formal dedication for Robert Griffin III Blvd. will be made at a future date when Griffin can attend.
