Adult Protective Services is investigating a local senior assisted living facility for medical and physical neglect.
Last weekend, Beverly Hills Police were at the Chavez Personal Care Home. We were told they were there following up on a 30 day notice they had given the facility for poor conditions.
News Channel 25 tried to get more information from Beverly Hills police, but we were told they had turned the case over to APS.
APS did confirm that the Chavez Personal Care home on the 4600 block on Memorial Drive in Waco is under investigation.
News Channel 25 spoke with some residents at the care home who said the living conditions were awful. They told us, sewage was coming out from the shower drains, they had no food and their medicine had been locked up for days.
Records show the assisted living care home had multiple safety violations in 2009. Some of the violations included the building not being structurally sound, fire alarm issues and other health hazards.
When News Channel 25 asked the woman who runs the facility about the investigation, she said she had no comment and closed the door on us.
Beverly Hills Police said nothing would be done until APS finishes their investigation.
